Below you’ll find helpful information about what will happen to your account as well as answers to questions you may have. Yipee.io is owned by CA Technologies and is subject to the acquisition of CA Technologies by Broadcom Inc., due to close in early November.

Important Dates

November 6, 2018 – 5pm MST, Yipee.io will shut down.

November 7, 2018, we will begin deleting all customer data. We will keep you posted of any changes to these dates.

Important Actions – Download your YAML

You can download the YAML from application models via the catalog, nerd mode, and using the download API.  Don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you need assistance.

What will happen to my data?

In compliance with GDPR and best practices, we will delete all customer data from our database, delete all backups of our database, and delete all attachments that have been uploaded.

What are some alternative applications I can use?

We are actively working on open sourcing the Kubernetes editing capabilities.  Additionally, we have open sourced our Clojure rule engine – Arete and our Kubernetes GraphQL interface Kubeiql.

Parting words

The Yipee.io journey has been the most rewarding, frustrating, and challenging opportunity for all of us who have worked on it for the past 2.5 years.  We started with a simple vision – Simplifying containerized applications.  We’ve seen the creation of Docker Swarm, the rise of Kubernetes, the arrival of Helm, just to name a few of the numerous advancements in this space.  The future is extremely bright for containerized applications and we believe the open source version of Yipee.io will play a prominent role.

We deeply regret and apologize for the short notice we are able to give regarding this shutdown. We did the best we could to do right by you, our customers.
